Engineering Entrance Exams 2015

  1. JEE Mains 2015:

To purse BE/B.Tech/B.Arch courses in IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), National Institute of Technology (NIT) and other Government Universities/Colleges students need to write Joint Entrance Exam (JEE). To get into IIT’s must get good score/marks in JEE Mains and JEE Advance Examination.


  • Must possess 45% of marks in 2014, 2013 year
  • If case of SC, ST 40% marks should obtain
  • Only MPC candidates are eligible
  • Candidates who have appeared for examinations of March 2015 batch are also eligible

Universities consider JEE Entrance:

Can get admission into UG courses through JEE Main Entrance Exam into these below universities-

  • 30 NITs
  • Government Universities, Private Colleges and also in other states in reputed colleges/Institutes
  • Indian Institute of Science (Bangalore)
  • Indian Institute of Science and Technology (Tiruvanantapuram)

Exam Pattern:

  • Exam comprises of 2 papers
  • Paper-I for getting admission into BE/B.Tech courses. Exam will be conducted Offline/online mode

To pursue BE/B.Tech courses in 16 Indian Institute of Technology and Indian School of Mains need to score JEE Advance rank.


  • Must secure rank in JEE Mains Paper-I in first 1,50,000 candidates
  • Must obtain good rank in JEE Advance along with Top 20 percentile in intermediate

Exam Pattern:

  • JEE Advance Exam consists of 2 papers
  • Duration of exam for each paper is 3 hours
  • Multiple Choice Questions (Mathematics Physics and Chemistry)

  1. EAMCET 2015:

To pursue BE/B.Tech, MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSYS, BSc (Agriculture), BVSc, BSc (Horticulture), B.Pharm, Pharm D in Andhra Pradesh Govt/private Colleges, need to appear for EAMCET Entrance examination.

Eligibility: Intermediate marks percentages are included to the below courses as

  • Inter MPC- for Engineering 45% of marks (In case SC/ST 40%)
  • Inter BiPC- for Medical course 50% marks

Exam Pattern:

  • In Engineering: Total 160 Multiple choice Questions (included Maths, Physics and Chemistry subjects)
  • 80 questions from mathematics, 40 questions from Physics and Chemistry

  1. COMEDK 2015:

Consortium of Medical, Engineering of Dental College of Karnataka (COMDEK) conducts UGET to get admission into BE course in Karnataka private Engineering Colleges.

Eligibility: 45% score in intermediate (MPC)

  • Total 180 Questions from Maths, Physics and Chemistry subjects

  1. BITSAT:

To get admission in Birla Institute of Technology and Science campus to pursue engineering course must write BITSAT entrance exam. The institute has situated at Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa


  • Must possess 75% of marks in Intermediate

  • Total 150 Multiple choice questions from Maths, Physics and Chemistry, English professional, Logical Reasoning

  1. SRM Engineering Entrance Exam 2015:

SRM entrance examination is conducted every year to get admission into B.Tech course.

Eligibility: 70% marks in Intermediate (MPC)

Admission: Through SRMEE Rank card

Online exam: April 17 to April 22 2015( tentative only)


  1. VIT Engineering Entrance Exam:

To pursue B.Tech course must write VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) Engineering Entrance Exam.

Eligibility: Must possess 60% marks in Inter (MPC)

Exam Pattern:

  • Total 120 MCQ from Maths, Physics and Chemistry subjects
  • Each question carries 1 mark
  • No Negative marking for wrong answer

  1. NATA 2015:

To pursue B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) in well reputed Architecture colleges in India need to write NATA Entrance exam. The exam is conducted every year by Council of Architecture from New Delhi.

Eligibility: 50% marks in intermediate academic year

Exam pattern:

  • Exam comprises of two Parts
  • Part-I is best drawing test
  • Part-II is Online test

Medical Entrance Examinations 2015

AIIMs-New Delhi 2015:

AIIMs established in 1956 by parliament. All India Institute of Medical Science is a leading institute in all over India. The main campus is in New Delhi. From this year more 6 AIIMs institutes are concerned they are:

  • Patna (Bihar)
  • Bupal (Madhya Pradesh)
  • Jodhpur (Rajasthan)
  • Rishikesh (Utterkhand)
  • Buvaneshwar (Odisha)
  • Raipur (Chattisgarh)

In all the above institutes to pursue MBBS course will conduct written entrance examination

Total seat vacancies:

  • AIIMs – Delhi (72)
  • In other instuiutes – 100 seats in each


  • Minimum 60% of marks in inter (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English subjects) and 50% of marks (In case of SC/ST category)

  1. AIPMT 2015:

For getting admissions into MBBS, BDS courses CBSE is conducting All India Pre Medical/Pre Dental Test (AIPMT) in all over India in reputed chief recognized Medical and Dental colleges/Institutes. Based on the entrnce exam rank score list 15% of seats are allocated in Medical and Dental colleges. As AP, Jhammu and Kashmir are not eligibile to write this examination as it is not included in center pool.

Good News: From this year even Andhra Pradesh students are eligible because Armed Force Medical College – pune, Benaras Hindu University. Through ICMT rank can get admission for AP candidates. This entrance is only for these two states


  • Must secure 50% of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English

Exam Pattern:

  • Total 180 Multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botony, Zoology)
  • Duration of exam is 3 hours

  1. CMC-Nellore 2015:

CMS-Nellore is one of the primary medical institutes. To take admission into MBBS course in Christian Medical College (CMS) – Nellore is conducting CMC entrance exam every year.

Exam Pattern:

  • Online test for 2 hours duration (included Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects)
  • 60 questions from each subject
  • General Ability test
  • Based on the marks/score in this candidates are called for furthur interview round

  1. Sri Ramachandra University 2015:

Sri Ramachandra University located at Chennai is conducting Entrance exam every year o take admissions into MBBS, BDS courses.

  1. All India Pre Veterinary Test 2015:

Every year Vetrinary Council of India (VCI) exam is held by All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) across India. Through this exam can get 15% admission seats into Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandary (BVSc – AH) courses in all veterinary colleges across India.

Eligibility: Must obtain 50% marks in inter BPC, English

  • AIPVT is conducted in Objective type

 Hotel Management Exams 2015

  1. SCHMCT-JEE 2015:

Joint Entrance exam (JEE) entrance examination is conducted to get admission into BSc Hospitality and Hotel Admission courses. Total 7454 seats will be allotted through this exam in 21 centers, 16 state government and 15 private Hotal management education institutes.

Eligibility: Must pass Intermediate (Including 1 English subject)

  • Exam comprises of 5 Parts
  • a) Numerical Ability and Scientific Aptitude (30 questions)
  • b) Reasoning and Logical Deduction (30 Questions)

  1. CLAT (Commerce Law Admission Test):

  • For engineering courses: JEE Mains, Advance

  • For Mangaement Courses: CAT
